Plant the seeds, harvest the value - It's the name of the game for this week's EDH deck, none other than Sam's much talked about Vaevictus Asmadi, The Dire list. A simple idea sprouted from the idea of land deck allstars Omnath and Gitrog working together in jund colours to throw down an absurd amount of landfall value in and out of the graveyard. The idea gained momentum when the 2018 Commander precons featured a landfall themed package in Jund with lord Windgrace at the helm, along with a useful amount of extra tools and pieces to fuel the original build idea; however a precon commander of course was too obvious - Vaevictus Asmadi from M19 had our interest with such a unique, wondefully broad ability including removal, sacrifice and top deck manipulation and value. Vaevictus become the perfect head to the deck, and in the process started to influence a new set of decisions for cards that synergised with landfall and his ability to form quite a unique build and play pattern, and has quickly become one of the group's favorite decks. Beware of stepping into this guy's backyard...
