Happy Black History Month!

CDR LaDonna Simpson, the Commanding Officer of USS Carter Hall (LSD 50), made history when she became one of the 1st three Black women to simultaneously command warships that are also Surface Warfare Officers (Nuclear qualified).

She assumed command on January 27th, 2021. A Naval Academy graduate and humble leader. She shares her leadership philosophy, the importance of family, being raised by a single mother, and what it took for her to get to where she is today.
