The Bible warns us repeatedly about false prophets and their dangerous teachings. Jesus Himself warned us in Matthew 7:15-16: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits."

Examples of False Prophets in the Bible: Throughout the Bible, we see numerous examples of false prophets. In the Old Testament, we see the likes of Balaam and Hananiah, who prophesied falsely and led people astray. In the New Testament, we see the Pharisees and Sadducees, who claimed to be religious leaders but were hypocrites and opposed Jesus' teachings.

Characteristics of False Prophets: False prophets are not always easy to identify, but the Bible gives us some characteristics to look out for. They often claim to have a special revelation from God, perform signs and wonders, and lead people away from the truth of God's Word. False prophets are often motivated by personal gain, money, and fame.

False teachings can be dangerous, causing people to believe in a false gospel and leading them away from salvation. The Bible warns us that false prophets will increase in number as we approach the end times
