In this episode, Karen believes that we are so much more resilient than we give ourselves credit for and if we can just  "Keep Going" every day, you never know where you will end up or what you can achieve.

  1. 1. At 23 Karen with a degree in English she knew she did not want to work in the traditional writing jobs and found herself wondering what it was she was going to do when she grew up. Her dad had always wanted one of his children to follow in his footsteps. She had never wanted to be a lawyer but she did not know what she wanted she found herself applying to law school hoping it would show her the path she was supposed to be on.
  2. After 15 years as a lawyer, it has never been her passion she found herself searching for what was next. She embraced personal development, meditation, and yoga. Through this work, she has begun to recognize the innate need for approval from others and how hard it is to overcome this need. Over time and a commitment to following her dreams she has found confidence and belief in herself and knows that regardless of others' opinions she has her own back.
  3. Karen is now stepping away from her lawyer journey and is now beginning her journey as a coach, she was shocked by the support she received from those around her.
  4. Karen shares that tapping into her intuition started with getting quiet and listening to herself and taking the time to do it every, even just for a couple of minutes.

Meet Karen:

Karen has been a practicing attorney for 15 years, even though, growing up, she did not want to follow in her dad‘s footsteps and be one. Several years ago when both of her parents had different kinds of cancer, Karen discovered yoga and through yoga found meditation. She became passionate about meditation and mindfulness and also personal development. Now, she works with professional women who are 40 and up who want to make changes in their lives, and she teaches them an intuitive and mindful method to do so. In what little spare time Karen has, she is a social activist, wife, and mom of two ridiculously awesome boys.
