The topic of “sin” is, without a doubt, one of the most spoken-about topics in the Christian faith. It’s also one of the most controversial. In this podcast, we offer some fresh insights on the issue of “sin”, from its impact on our human constitution to our misguided human tendency to rank sinful behaviour. To label “sin” as bad behaviour isn’t getting to the root of the issue. Sin is the outcome of independence from God, who is the source of all good. And where there is sin, there is death, because independence from God means independence from the source of life. Through analogies (and even a film reference) we tackle the tough questions on sin, in order to demonstrate the necessity for God’s “rescue plan” through Jesus Christ.
