Joey Becker is a Senior Motion Pictures major at Wright State University. Joey sat down with Sawyer on December 30, 2018 to talk about his past as a beekeeper, learning to fail as a filmmaker, and how a basketball injury is what led him to the entertainment industry. When Sawyer brings up the "Tom Hanks Trap," Joey explains how he ended up in Wright State's film program. The two explore Joey's project Paranoia, the 48 Hour Film Challenge, and their collaboration on a Flash Theater project. When the conversation shifts to how they approach creativity and creation, Sawyer realizes that they have very different creative energies. After discussing Joey's Unfinished Business, the two chat about whether or not adult films are art, and Sawyer shares an idea he had as a teenager for a film that addresses that exact question. Finally, Joey and Sawyer attempt to address the validity of certain iconic performances in the #MeToo Era.Check out some of Joey's projects belowSeparate: https://youtu.be/5kA6OUFniPcParanoia: https://youtu.be/khDs49pU7NUUnfinished Business: https://streamable.com/8huu5?fbclid=IwAR1wD74kQK4mcQTnY-326L5jj-samoVtXgnnx2Yz-V2ZV13Uovqf-EH6tUIFlash Theater: https://youtu.be/hVokBL1lHgs podcoin
