In honor of this being the 5th episode of the podcast, I am going to share with you the 5 Lifestyle Entrepreneurs that I follow the most.   You’re listening to Paycheck Rebel

Hey wants up you rebel thanks for joining me for the very first solo episode of this podcast and its actually Episode number 5.   To celebrate the fifth episode of the show I am going to reveal to you the 5 lifestyle entrepreneurs that I am following right now and that I consider most influential in my business.

Each one I talk about will have links to their websites that I will put in the show notes page which you can access by going to paycheckrebel.com/episodefive.

Entrepreneur 1: Pat Flynn

Pat was a former corporate slave who lost his job during the recession and started making an online passive income with a education training site he inadvertently started when studying for a certification.

From there he created the site Smart Passive Income and built a brand that eventually spawned a podcast and online TV show.

He is now one of the most well known bloggers and podcasters who openly shares his strategies & income results

His teachings are based on hard facts without a single ounce of fly by night marketing or magic bullet trickery.

Why Do I Follow Pat?

-There are a lot of so called gurus out there that claim to be making hundreds of thousands of dollars online when in reality they are struggling to make ends meet.

-Pat is the real deal and someone I trust when it comes to passive income strategies and what’s working now.

-He doesn’t try to churn and burn a massive amount of blog posts and podcast episodes instead each one is thoughtful and provides massive amounts of value

Pat teaches the long game of this business by providing value to others and building a business via an actual website…something you can sell

-Not just making money online.

-Not the new trick or magic bullet

Pat’s teachings are all about building a real business that provides value to other people and can make money with you sleep.

I think for anyone that is just getting started in this industry, Pat and his blog and podcast can’t be beat and would definitely recommend it to anyone asking me for a good beginner resource.

You can find him at Smartpassiveincome.com, on his podcast by searching for “Pat Flynn” or “smart passive income” in iTunes or on his video channel at www.smartpassiveincome.com/spitv

Entrepreneur 2 - Noah Kagan

You may or may not have heard Noah’s story.

One of the first 30 employees at Facebook and was fired personally by Mark Zuck before the company went public.

After Facebook, Noah helped grow mint.com into a multimillion dollar business.

Noah Kagan started app sumo and sumo me;  two wildly popular websites, the first featuring online deals for digital products and the later a wildly successful site which offers free tools to help grow website traffic. Noah has created 4 separate products that have generated more than 7 figures.

Oh…and he is also a world renown taco connoisseur.

So why do I recommend you follow Noah?

Well quite frankly he is one of the most resourceful and insightful entrepreneurs I know.

He created the course how to start a $1,000 a month business where he advocates validating your idea in the marketplace to see if anyone will buy before investing valuable time and resources into your idea…i.e. don’t waste your time if nobody is willing to buy it

I find his podcast interviews fascinating as he often turns the tables on the podcast host during the interview.

You can find out more info about Noah and his companies at the following sites

Okdork.com, sumome.com & appsumo.com

Entrepreneur 3 - John Lee Dumas

So why follow John Lee Dumas and the juggernaut he and his girlfriend Kate have created at EoFire?

-Yes tons of content

-Yes tons of interviews with entrepreneurs and insights

-Yes he is a millionaire more than a few times over at the time of this recording

-But the reason I pay attention to what JLD is doing is because he has really mastered the craft of automation & systemization when it comes to being a lifestyle entrepreneur.

-From conducting interviews, to editing, to promoting on social media, to creating courses, blog posts, webinars, content…I could go on and on

It would be impossible for one person to do all of that by himself without the use of automation tools and virtual assistants.

John & Kate have done an amazing job leveraging internet systems and processes to do a massive amount of work, create their own schedule and work whenever and wherever they want to.

John has spoken before about how he

-Batches interviews

-Employees Virtual assistants from the PA

-Online tools such as social media sharing like Edgar, and customer relationship management tools like Infusionsoft

-He has really mastered the concept of automation when it comes to podcasting and content creation.  It allows him to be everywhere by producing massive volumes of content.

-You can check out John at entrepreneuronfire.com or eofire.com or tune into one of his podcasts by searching for Entrepreneur on Fire in iTunes where he produces incredible content though interviews with successful entrepreneurs daily.

Entrepreneur 4 - Ben Settle

When people think of Ben Settle they think of email marketing and copywriting…and yes, he is very accomplished in both, but that’s not the only reason I’m putting him on the top five list.

Ben's teachings in his daily emails, his podcast and his monthly subscription print news letter he tends to go against the grain of what so many bloggers, podcasters and marketers teach…and that is to not be afraid to sell and fire your customers.

There is a reason he is called the Antipreneur and it comes through in both his writing and weekly podcast.

He goes so far as to preach the practice of repulsion marketing…i.e. getting the mushcookies off your list that probably never would have bought from you in the first place.

In a world where the phrase “the customer is always right” seems to be the standard, Ben bucks the trend and advocates firing problem customers and clients rather than letting them bring you down.

Ben teaches the art of storytelling as a tactic of crawling into your markets head and persuading them to buy.

You can find out more about ben by searching for his podcast The Ben Settle Show in iTunes or going to BenSettle.com.

And incase you missed it, Episode 3 of Paycheck Rebel featured an interview with the Antipreneur himself where we talk about the power of consistency, the reason so many newbies fail and how you can have a profitable lifestyle business by sending just one email per day.

Entrepreneur 5 - Ray Higdon

Ray Higdon is a personal development and home business teacher.

In the early days he cut his teeth as a network marketing leader.  I know he still teaches home business owners how to become top earners, but lately he’s really broken though in the personal development and expert training space…especially with his recent launch of his product the 3 minute expert.

-I.L.T = Invest Learn Teach

If you invest in yourself and learn a technique, a skill, something that someone else is interested in learning, you can position yourself to someone else as a source of knowledge for that information.

That is why I follow Ray Higdon.  He preaches self-empowerment and the fact that you absolutely can build an expert business even if your brand new so long as long as you are willing to invest in yourself with education.

If you want to find out more about Ray you can go to rayhigdon.com.   And he has a podcast as well by searching Ray Higdon in iTunes.

Once again all of the links in this episode will be put into the show notes page which you can access by going to paycheckrebel.com/episodefive.

And that my rebels is my list of the top 5 lifestyle entrepreneurs I am following right now and I think you should be following as well if you want to create a solid source or even multiple sources of passive income.
