1:48

Play. Okay, The

1:50

draft is going to start with

1:52

quarterbacks met. We know that. Yeah,

1:54

I'm seeing some very strong trend.

1:57

Some surprising, some maybe not as

1:59

surprising. that just about all of the

2:01

people who are really plugged in are fully

2:03

believing and on board with, as

2:05

we are here now on draft morning, morning

2:07

for me, draft afternoon is where it's hitting

2:09

now for you on the East

2:11

Coast there. And

2:14

it starts with quarterback, we know it's Caleb

2:16

Williams number one, and really it feels now

2:19

almost locked into two and three with Jayden

2:21

Daniels and Drake May. Do you think there's

2:23

an opportunity for that to be shaken up

2:25

at all with the top three picks? That

2:27

being also that the Patriots probably not moving

2:29

out of that three spot and Drake May

2:31

is the guy they wanted there. Maybe if

2:33

May was gone at two, that's where we

2:35

could see the Patriots trade out and it

2:37

feels like it's not gonna go that way.

2:39

That's Daniels to Drake May three, nobody changing

2:42

draft slots in the top three. The

2:45

only one I wanna address is the Patriots.

2:47

I do think it goes Williams Daniels, of

2:49

course. Now by all accounts,

2:52

Bellachat, Big Bad Wolf, I mean,

2:55

boy, they make him sound like

2:57

he never did anything for the

2:59

organization and whatever. Are they gonna

3:01

hide the Lombardi's in a closet?

3:04

Right, right. You can't just play those anymore,

3:06

man. You couldn't operate anything with Bill Belichick

3:08

around. I didn't know anything. Anyway,

3:10

it sure seems like the crafts are

3:13

more and more involved in this. And

3:17

even Elliott Wolf, they never really gave him

3:19

the GM title. He's just doing GM stuff.

3:21

I never really realized that until the last

3:24

couple of days. So it does

3:26

sound like the crafts and Robert Kraft's

3:28

son, I guess is scheduled to take over a year

3:30

from now. So this is about to be his show,

3:32

are in charge. And

3:34

I think that's something we need to be really

3:37

relevant of or really aware of with all these

3:39

teams. Like Sean Payton's got all the power in

3:41

Denver. If he wants a quarterback, he's gonna get

3:43

one. The owners in New

3:45

England are taking their team back from

3:47

Bill and I think they're not going to leave

3:50

this without a quarterback. I just don't know if it's

3:52

gonna be McCarthy or May. And so,

3:54

and here's the difference. So Robert Kraft, you

3:56

know, and different

3:58

owners around the NFL got... into the NFL

4:00

in different ways. So if

4:02

you have a you know, a business man

4:05

who bought an NFL team and football wasn't

4:07

his first business, then

4:10

he might not be the case, right? And I

4:12

don't know, depot or Gillette or whatever, you know,

4:15

right, you know, he might try to implement business

4:17

things. We've seen how you know, sometimes that's very

4:19

difficult, whether it's David Tepper, or

4:21

you know, anybody, sometimes that's not it

4:24

doesn't translate as well, football

4:26

business to real business, as

4:28

far as personnel and on field stuff goes the other

4:30

business side of things, I'm sure is very similar marketing

4:33

and some other things. But but

4:35

I don't think you can run it like IBM, you know what I mean?

4:37

Right? But if you are the son

4:39

of a NFL owner and grew up in football,

4:42

you know, the football business. And

4:44

you can bet if I or my family owned

4:46

an NFL team, I would be the

4:48

GM, nothing would happen on draft day

4:50

without me saying so. And I would probably call

4:52

in the card. But that's me. And that's, you

4:54

know, and I do a football here. Right? Right.

4:56

And so I could see

5:00

very well that if you know, I was Bob

5:03

Kraft's son, and he's like, All

5:05

right, about to turn it over to

5:07

you next year, I would say, cool, it's gonna

5:09

run a lot more like say the Dallas Cowboys

5:11

with ownership in charge than it is maybe some

5:13

other organization. So I can absolutely see that changing

5:15

things quite a bit there in New England. And,

5:18

and it also like growing up

5:20

in football probably means you're a lot better at it

5:22

than maybe some other owners, too. So that's not a

5:24

bad thing, either. The Cowboys haven't

5:26

run their organization poorly, even though the Jones family

5:29

is the ones running the draft. In fact, they've

5:31

drafted pretty well top half the league, you know,

5:33

oh, yeah, one of the best a bad job

5:35

with that. But

5:37

before Al Davis lost his fastball,

5:40

the Raiders did a great job with that. And we're, you

5:42

know, ahead of the times in some ways, and then kind

5:44

of fell behind the times a little bit with, you know,

5:46

some of the weird picks, they were James

5:48

jet, and you know, these all speed, just

5:50

some weird stuff starting to happen there with

5:52

the with the drafts. But

5:54

all that is to say that, yeah, it's a different

5:57

era there in New England. But

5:59

when you have the opportunity, to draft a franchise quarterback,

6:01

you do it. They're not moving out unless

6:03

they don't like the options that are there.

6:05

And it really has felt all along like

6:08

Drake May was sort

6:10

of their their guy.

6:12

And if May went, they

6:14

would be willing to move out. And if

6:16

May's there, they drafted. And it's,

6:18

you know, and obviously, there's a, there's

6:21

a reason the Vikings are doing what they're doing. I think

6:23

it's gonna have to be picked four or five, the

6:25

Vikings move up to not three. I

6:27

tend to agree. I think that back

6:31

to my original point, these, the

6:34

more I get involved with teams and the older I

6:36

get, the more I realized these are 32 very

6:39

different entities, and they're all run

6:41

very, very differently. And so

6:43

in a lot of ways, they compete in a

6:45

lot of ways, they're a conglomerate, they're, you know,

6:47

a monopoly, monopoly go that,

6:50

you know, I'll keep the league rolling as

6:52

one and they hire this commissioner to keep

6:54

them all rolling as one. And the owners

6:56

do that. But every team's very different, you

6:58

know, like Tennessee's in a weird spot right

7:00

now. And Vrable being gone is kind of

7:02

like Belichick being gone. They're not going to

7:04

do things the same way. They don't want Derek

7:06

Henry and, you know, 350 pound guards anymore,

7:10

you know, I mean, like, all

7:12

these teams are a lot different. I think you need

7:14

to look at through that lens tonight. I think that's

7:17

a great point. And it really ties into the Los

7:19

Angeles Chargers, which is one of the ones I wanted

7:21

to bring up because people keep

7:23

pointing to Jim Harbaugh and saying, man,

7:25

he wants a he's a he wants

7:28

a physical team. He's going to draft

7:30

an offensive lineman. It's offensive tackler bust.

7:32

I am seeing J.C. Latham in

7:35

most of those insider mock

7:37

drafts this morning at pick five, not even after

7:39

a trade back because I love J.C. Latham at

7:41

11. Let's say they traded with

7:43

the with the Vikings, which I still think

7:45

would be my official mock draft, which I

7:47

might jump on my channel later and

7:49

just do a little last minute mock draft. I think it's going to

7:51

happen. I lay some five or late

7:53

from 11 after the chart.

7:56

Chargers move out of five with

7:58

the Vikings is probably how it happens. Marvin

8:00

Harrison before. That's what I think is

8:03

the likelihood today in this thing. Then

8:07

there's been some pushback on that idea because

8:09

people go back to his time with

8:11

the 49ers and say, well,

8:13

actually, if you look at it, they drafted a lot of

8:15

wide receivers. And then I think to

8:18

myself, well, it was a different structure

8:20

then. It was a GM who hired Jim

8:22

Harbaugh. The GM, Trent Balke at the time,

8:24

was making the picks, not Jim Harbaugh. And

8:26

that's why there was a lot of fighting

8:28

about stuff. I guarantee

8:31

you, Jim Harbaugh did not want to draft AJ

8:33

Jenkins. You know what I mean? Right. Good call.

8:35

Yeah. So that

8:38

said, now the structure is different. There's

8:40

one guy in charge and it's

8:42

Jim Harbaugh. And Ortiz, who the

8:45

GM is there now, obviously, is

8:47

going to have a big say in things. But there's

8:50

a different tip of the pyramid in all

8:52

of these structures. And is it

8:54

the coach or the GM? The

8:57

question. And it's for sure the

8:59

coach now in LA, which I

9:01

think is why everyone's throwing in

9:04

not only a tackle and not

9:06

Joel, but actually JC Latham, that's

9:08

the big run blocking massive

9:10

right tackle. Right tackle. Yeah. I agree

9:12

with everything you said, because my top

9:15

five would be the same as well.

9:17

I think Minnesota will get the five.

9:19

They'll get McCarthy there, maybe May, but I

9:21

don't think so. I think May probably ends up

9:23

in New England. And a lot of it's

9:25

because like we were saying before, and we've been talking about,

9:28

like Harbaugh's situation is so much

9:30

different than the Jets. The Jets have like

9:32

one year to get it right. Harbaugh

9:34

has got a leash. They just gave him a ton

9:37

of money in a sort of

9:39

a non-chargers like way. And you are

9:41

the czar of this whole thing. They

9:43

could go 0 and 17 next year and

9:46

he would still be safe. So I think if

9:48

you're Harbaugh, I want to

9:50

bring in as many of my guys as

9:52

possible. Am I turning my back

9:54

on a neighbor's or a Marvin? Yeah,

9:56

that's hard to do or an alt

9:58

or a Latham. But I would. want those

10:00

two first round picks from the Vikings. I want a future

10:02

pick maybe, you know what I mean? I want to bring

10:04

in 12 draft picks,

10:07

maybe four of them from Michigan, who knows.

10:09

But, you know, I want to

10:11

bring in my guys, my culture with talented

10:13

day two first round pick type guys. I

10:15

don't need to star right now. I don't

10:17

have to win it this year. Thanks

10:20

for the check here from

10:23

Jason in the chat. James Jett, undrafted

10:25

free agent, 256 receptions, 4,017 yards, 30

10:28

touchdowns. As soon as I said

10:30

I knew it was a bad example of what I was talking

10:32

about, I was just trying to think of fast guys that were

10:35

Raiders, right? Oh, yeah. I

10:38

appreciate that. I appreciate that, Jason. James

10:40

Jett, great, great, great, great undrafted free

10:45

All right. And appreciate everyone jumping into the chat

13:57

be right in here for a lot of hours

14:00

weekend. Yeah, absolutely. And,

14:02

and not, this

14:04

is okay, the number one

14:07

rule of the NFL

14:09

Draft, especially round one, do

14:11

not spoil the picks. I will not be on

14:13

Twitter. It spoils

14:15

the picks. I will mute you.

14:17

I will block you. If you are a TV channel that

14:19

shows the guy on the phone while he, you know, before

14:22

it's been announced, and we don't know who the pick is

14:24

going to be, the

14:26

networks have done such a better job, Matt,

14:28

of not spoiling. It used to be, you

14:30

knew everything. Horrible. You knew the first pick

14:32

is already signed before the draft started. The

14:34

second pick's on the phone, you knew who

14:36

that was going to be. And I hated

14:38

that. Don't spoil picks. Don't ruin the time

14:40

for everybody else. If you're spoiling picks, you're

14:42

kicked out of the live chat, your channel's

14:45

off my TV, your account is blocked on

14:47

Twitter. So that's the number one rule for draft day.

14:49

Don't spoil the picks and just have a little bit

14:51

of fun as this thing goes. Because it is Christmas

14:53

time. You don't want to know what's in the box

14:55

before you unwrap it. Absolutely. Good stuff.

14:57

So real quick, this is in self promotion time. I

15:00

didn't mean that to, you know, take over this, but

15:02

I was just curious what you plan on doing. If

15:04

you just have to feed up, eating wings, hoping for

15:06

your favorite Niner or what all you were doing. If

15:09

anyone's interested, you can go to steelers.com. And

15:11

I am the only one that's on every

15:13

second of the draft that covers it. And

15:15

that's usually my role. It is once again

15:18

this year, I'll be at the facility right

15:20

next to the six Super Bowl trophies, huge

15:22

coffee machine that I hit hard and they

15:24

feed us like crazy. And if you

15:27

want to go to steelers.com or 970 local

15:29

here in Pittsburgh, I will be on every second

15:32

of the draft. Make sure you

15:34

get the marathon, dude. Make sure you get some

15:36

water and some tea, maybe some honey in there

15:38

as well with that. It's

15:40

like 22 hours. It's long. Yeah, but it's

15:42

loose too. It's fun now. Seventh

15:48

round gets a little rough,

15:50

you know, but I

15:52

can't wait. I'm going to tune in. I want to hear

15:54

those scouting reports on the seventh rounders, man. That's why I'm

15:56

there. Who

15:59

can we get the can talk about seventh rounders. Oh, Williams.

16:02

And this year, the Steelers don't even have

16:04

a seventh round pick. So you sit around,

16:06

but you can't even get excited about Spencer

16:08

Anderson in the seventh round, you know, we

16:13

get this question a lot and not we're gonna

16:15

get more into this stuff. But Michael asked the

16:17

question. My son wants to be a scout in

16:19

particular suggestions. Yes, there is one. It's who you

16:21

know, go make friends

16:23

with people in places. Other

16:28

don't get used to having money or you

16:30

know, eating well or living in a place

16:32

for a long time. Yeah, volunteer

16:35

every way you possibly can, you know,

16:38

pound on doors, be aggressive. But

16:40

one advantage you guys have that I didn't was

16:43

you could start your own YouTube channel. Like when I got

16:45

into stuff when I was 23 years old, that stuff

16:48

didn't exist. So at least you couldn't get

16:50

on Twitter and maybe stand out some way, shape or

16:52

form. I'm not saying you want to be media, but

16:54

I mean, it's at least you have a different outlet

16:56

than I did. Question

17:01

here from Ryan. He

17:03

says, Well, maybe it may more of a statement at

17:05

first. What a pleasure to see you. What

17:07

are the chances to see? Ryan, I went

17:09

to high school together. What's up, Chris? Oh,

17:12

no. What do you think? Why does fever

17:14

trade? There's a lot of heat. Um, that's

17:17

one of those things that I think

17:19

was, uh, Norris. Uh,

17:22

George Norris from underdog fantasy.

17:24

Which one of the fantasy?

17:27

He's from underdog.

17:29

Yeah. Underdog fantasy. He

17:32

said something very interesting. And by the way, he's like

17:34

mock draft champion. So he's really good. He won a

17:36

million bucks or whatever that one year. Yeah. They did

17:38

very good work over there. Did he win a million

17:40

dollars for that? Maybe more. He

17:43

was the grand prize winner. Like,

17:46

you know, it was like, worth anything other than

17:48

cloud. Okay. Wow. No, he was.

17:50

Yeah, he was the champ. Yeah, right. Um,

17:54

uh, he said what he heard

17:56

is that I use gone

17:59

like that's going to happen. And he

18:02

didn't elaborate much or who he heard it from. Steelers

18:06

Niners, could there be a thing there? We don't

18:08

want to spend time on this. We talk a

18:10

lot of teenagers, but that's out there. So

18:13

I think I'm on

18:15

Ross St. Brown signing yesterday of 30

18:17

million. All of a sudden,

18:19

just says, wow, the price of tea

18:21

in China has gone up, you know, for CD

18:24

lamb, let alone Justin Jefferson, IU. I mean, that's

18:26

going to be the jump off point for those

18:28

guys. And I don't know that IU could get

18:30

a ton more than St. Brown or, you

18:32

know, but Lambwell and Jefferson Shore will.

18:34

And the Bengals and Steelers aren't going

18:36

to work together on a T Higgins train.

18:38

No, right, right, right. So and I

18:41

probably IU robust if you're training for a wide receiver

18:43

for the Steelers. Yeah, I was going to throw this

18:46

out there, though. And this is what I've warmed up

18:48

to. And it's a consolation prize. But I

18:50

think Cortland Sutton is very much in play for

18:52

the Steelers. And I think at his price and

18:55

his age, he has two years left on

18:57

a deal. Cost you probably a fifth

18:59

round pick and then you draft Ricky Pearsall in

19:01

the second round. You know what I mean? Like that

19:03

to me makes more sense for Pittsburgh. Zane,

19:06

I like you quite a bit. Zane, you're worthy

19:08

wide receiver for Schrager, who's

19:10

another good mock drafter, who is plugged in,

19:12

talks to a lot of people around the

19:15

NFL, has worthy the highest now

19:17

I've seen in the mock draft season,

19:19

the morning of the draft, going all

19:21

the way up at pick 17 with

19:23

the Jacksonville Jaguars and the fourth wide

19:25

receiver off the board. I've been hinting

19:27

at this and I've been telling people,

19:29

look, dude ran four to one, he's

19:31

gonna go higher. He's not going to

19:33

go at pick 55 or whatever we're

19:35

seeing in these mock drafts. No, 17.

19:37

Can we see him

19:40

jump in and leapfrog the

19:42

Don I Mitchell's his teammate

19:44

and I

19:48

which Texas receiver you think goes first? I'm

19:50

leaning towards worthy. Oh, it's worthy 100%. Because

19:53

on the other side of things, it's the Don I

19:55

Mitchell and I haven't seen someone plugged in putting him

19:57

higher than 3132 in any mock. Now

20:00

recently and many times he's falling out of

20:02

the first round. I think there's character stuff

20:04

There's the medical medical is a

20:06

big part of this Matt if you're trying to

20:09

like what's the so what's the?

20:12

What's the resume of someone who's gonna go

20:14

higher than expected in the NFL draft? Well,

20:16

you were awesome in interviews. You were awesome

20:18

in workouts testing numbers. You're checking a lot

20:20

of boxes Yeah, what's the recipe for someone

20:22

to fall in the NFL draft bad interviews?

20:25

Bad reports from school about your character and

20:28

medical stuff And so I don't know medical

20:30

medical happening in opposite directions for the two

20:32

Texas wide receivers Hit

20:35

the the workout stuff Over

20:37

the fence the home run there, but everything else might

20:39

be a little bit worrisome for some teams right now

20:42

I've heard small little things too. You know,

20:44

Brian Thomas might have a shoulder Jackson

20:47

Powers Johnson might have concussion concerns And I

20:49

don't know if those things are true And

20:52

I always hesitate to even bring them up

20:54

because I don't think what you and I

20:56

say are gonna change their status I don't

20:58

want to hurt any young men's chances obviously,

21:00

but we know this long enough that when

21:03

Somebody falls to 50 that's been mocked at

21:05

25 ish. It's almost always medical

21:08

I mean it used to be like maybe he

21:10

failed the marijuana test at the combine now nobody

21:12

cared You know, I mean like we don't hear the thing That

21:15

used to be the big one right right? Well, he got caught

21:17

with the sack of weeds for the sack of weed two years

21:20

ago and nobody knew about it But all the teams did right,

21:22

you know that guy in our team. Yeah You

21:25

hit two of the names I wanted to mention let's get into those

21:28

next some of the In some of

21:30

the medical whispers we're hearing which is really the

21:32

the biggest thing that can drop prospects down You

21:34

know a guy's got bone on bone in his

21:36

knee that you don't know about or a new

21:38

condition Did you be generative condition that we don't

21:40

know about the team's medical found and medical rechecks

21:43

are are big part of this Real

21:45

quick on that and sometimes they didn't even

21:47

miss time, you know, like they played great

21:49

They never missed a game everyone thinks they're

21:51

durable But then they're like he's been playing

21:53

with very little cartilages knee. You're never gonna

21:55

get a second contract out, right? Okay, you

21:58

know, okay more on those potential followers some

22:00

surprises that could happen in the first round of the NFL Draft.

22:02

Next. Today's episode of Peacock

22:04

Williamson is brought to you in part by LinkedIn

22:37

you might find the perfect candidate that's

22:39

actually not really even actively looking. So

22:41

if you're not looking at LinkedIn, you're

22:43

looking in the wrong place. Post

22:45

22:47

linkedin.com/locked on NFL. That's linkedin.com/locked

22:49

on NFL to post your

22:51

job for free terms and

22:53

conditions apply. So

22:57

you hit on two of the names

22:59

that are commonly, commonly sliding now on

23:01

the insider mock drafts and it's Jackson

23:03

powers Johnson, which after the senior bowl,

23:06

I thought lock him in first period

23:08

offensive lineman first center off the

23:11

board, lock him into the first round. He's going to have

23:13

a first round grade on every team's draft boards. Trust

23:15

me sealers at 20 sealers, the twenties JP J's.

23:18

That's all I've heard. And you

23:20

know, he did have, I think it was just a hamstring or something.

23:22

And he still played through it, you know, which I thought was

23:24

even actually even more

23:27

beneficial to his

23:29

stock because yeah, he had a hamstring, but most guys that

23:31

have anything, a fingernail issue, they're not

23:33

showing up in the senior bowl. He came to

23:35

the senior bowl, dominated for a couple of days

23:37

before he left and said, okay, I'm out, got

23:39

the hamstring, but I showed you what I can

23:41

do. And I competed through an injury. Scouts love

23:43

that teams love that. I was like, this is

23:45

the dude he's big, but still athletic. He's

23:49

not some undersized guy who's forced into center. He's a

23:51

big, powerful guy who could play guard, but could be

23:53

an awesome center. You know, and now there's like some

23:55

cuts so can continue. I've

24:00

seen some interviews with him. guy.

24:07

Barton who's projected to be a center in the NFL. How

24:09

many centers are going to go in the NFL? I mean, I don't know. are

24:14

hearing. Yeah. over

24:17

20 years. than we thought.

24:20

And he has definitely been a little

24:22

too for

25:11

a while. It was a big one for me. I

25:13

was like, these guys are awesome. How can they be

25:15

falling in the draft? I

25:17

was like, well, they're bone on bone. They are not going

25:19

to have a long NFL career, so we're going to bypass

25:22

them. And a lot of things did. And guess what? Both

25:24

guys had shorter NFL careers, even if they were

25:26

really good at some point when they were on

25:29

the field early in their career. Those are great

25:31

ones. And miles Jack was just here with the

25:33

Steelers to never practiced on Wednesdays, you know, he

25:35

was like those whole career. You know, I mean,

25:37

manage them. Yeah, and you watch them on

25:39

tape when they're young and they're 21 years old and they're flying

25:42

around, you're like, how did this guy have a

25:44

medical issue? But you know, those internal

25:46

pictures and the bones aren't going to lie to you.

25:48

It's like, well, he's got a condition. So that's

25:52

going to happen for some prospects. And a lot of times we

25:54

don't hear about it until after the draft. And

25:57

you mentioned Brian Thomas. There's a labrum. The

26:00

injury potentially with an airplane

26:02

he's consistently now not. In.

26:05

The Top: Fifteen or twenty of these late

26:07

breaking mock drafts from Insiders. So and and

26:09

worthies go and hire. So that brings you

26:11

back to Worthy of Fit and Mitchell has

26:14

an issue. Thomas as a metro an issue

26:16

Who's most likely this fill that gap is

26:18

probably Worthy or the guys it ran for

26:20

to run. And. We may also

26:23

see like everyone loves the top three wide

26:25

receivers. it might be elite run on wide

26:27

receivers and everyone waits after those top three

26:29

guys are deposition. That's when all the dolphins

26:32

Wyman runs are gonna happen right? and

26:34

died as a player sort of writing. Forget

26:36

exactly another pieces of risers. Byron Murphy. He's.

26:39

Getting a lot burst at nine.

26:42

To the Chicago Bears I know Aber who's

26:44

loves to have him a a a mean

26:46

deep it's a tackle on that and like

26:48

that's huge for his defense. Just a couple

26:50

guys already last year that probably should shock

26:52

people that when also feels a little smokescreen

26:54

issue when they're like I we we want

26:56

no Dunes A to faultless the let's put

26:58

something out there with another player that's right.

27:00

like that I do feel like there's some

27:02

of that happening as well. I.

27:04

Could see Murphy at eight to Atlanta or

27:07

Nine to the Bears near me. As a

27:09

true three technique type, I don't think your

27:11

last a lot longer than that, but there's

27:13

also. Not. Many good landing spots for

27:15

him if he doesn't go to those. Do you

27:17

know unless there is moving around or whatever or

27:19

Minnesota can trade out the I got to get

27:21

there may be ends up with the bikes. they

27:23

don't get their quarterback one guy want to throw

27:25

offer though. Where's our by receivers. Is. Remained

27:28

burnt from Alabama I know he zoc going

27:30

in first round. he's been at like four

27:32

schools and six years go back debating the

27:34

see them like six and six years are

27:36

nearly of I think what I heard was

27:38

like six schools and eight years to have

27:41

our that know well my uncles and right

27:43

Aaron, Paul and Li will be before college

27:45

and so is like a wise you'd be

27:47

hard top. One. Hundred Top

27:49

Fifty Guy made universe. Wrong guy. Who knows

27:51

the idols? That though he may go undrafted

27:54

completely. I've no idea where he's a Leo.

27:56

I'm. a he he struck a

27:58

tennessee woman On the

28:01

field Tennessee woman fan like you can find it

28:03

on YouTube like that's fat so

28:05

but he'd more I watch him He

28:08

might be better than worthy I think he's right there with

28:10

Mitchell in these guys like I think he's one of the

28:12

top six or seven receivers in His class and

28:15

hey Chiefs fans Burton

28:17

ends up in Kansas City He's gonna be on my fantasy team

28:19

and they'll get him in like the fourth or fifth round as

28:21

opposed to the first Because they kind of look the

28:23

other way on some of the stuff and you read will look the other

28:25

way he will yeah Yeah, I just wanted

28:27

to throw him out there. He's a really good player My I

28:29

would bet he goes on drafted to be honest with you Just

28:33

you know There's some things that can't happen teams

28:35

don't even want our head is not even worth

28:37

it And that's kind of one of

28:39

those things when you're you're striking a woman. It's

28:41

on video, you know Yeah, you know other players

28:43

have come back from pretty nasty things. So no,

28:45

we'll see and you know in the end teams

28:47

are Competitive and trying to win. So so we'll

28:49

see what what happens with those kind of things

28:53

What's your prediction on nicks and panics? Yeah,

28:55

I want to go to the chat here real cool Because

28:58

Jason has a question on that he says my Raiders Need

29:00

to get a tackle at 13 so they can get

29:03

panics in the second round or how high would they need

29:05

to trade up? In the first to get panics. I'm seeing

29:07

panics and bow nicks a lot in these first round mock

29:09

drafts I don't know if I buy it but Going

29:12

back to Shraders mock. He has nicks at 12 and

29:14

panics 13. I Don't

29:17

think that's crazy Maybe

29:20

one of the two happens. But again The

29:23

Sean Payton care, you know, I mean I know

29:25

we're talk Raiders here But the Sean Payton care

29:27

what the cost is he's going to get a

29:29

quarterback. I mean, I think that's almost

29:31

set in stone I don't know if the Raiders are

29:33

going to get a quarterback but I think that the

29:35

buzz with them and panics is very very real and

29:38

Jason's right. They desperately need a right

29:40

tackle amongst some other things on defense

29:42

But if you take panics at 13 You'll

29:46

find somebody suitable at right tackle in the second

29:48

round Denver doesn't have a second round pick And

29:52

I don't know who the Raiders need leapfrog at

29:54

that point Like

29:57

I 13 I don't think they do or even in

29:59

the second round Like there's nobody who ahead of them

30:01

is going to have to quarterback because all the teams drafting

30:03

quarterbacks are going to happen already in round one. Is there

30:05

anybody at the top of the second round that even need

30:07

to come up giants? Maybe

30:10

they don't need to go up all the way to the first round

30:12

probably. So this might be more of a, uh,

30:14

and if I had to guess it probably more

30:16

of a, a, a levis situation where you wait

30:18

and you reshuffle the board overnight and you get

30:20

up into, you know, the second round, a few

30:23

pigs, you know, I don't think you need to

30:25

go all the way up into round one again

30:27

to get Penn X or Nick's. I don't think

30:29

so. And to be honest with you,

30:31

these teams are like, they

30:33

value their picks. They're not just throwing around

30:35

picks willy nilly. And, uh, I

30:38

like Penn X. I wouldn't

30:40

do it at 13 and I definitely wouldn't do Bo Nix

30:42

it at 12 either. Maybe

30:44

go down would be the move. All right.

30:47

Someone comes up or back or Bowers or

30:49

somebody like that. Maybe, I don't

30:51

know. I don't have a

30:53

great feel for this because this time last year,

30:55

I thought levis was going to go around 12 or

30:58

13 or 10 or whatever to, you know, another one

31:00

speaking of going down. I've seen a couple of other

31:02

of these, uh, a couple of

31:04

other, these, uh, mock drafts that

31:06

have the Eagles going up

31:08

with Denver Broncos and then Bo Nix

31:10

goes at pick 22 and

31:13

the Eagles get whatever their cornerback or,

31:15

you know, um, an offensive tackle or

31:17

whatever. Yeah. Denver's so crazy.

31:19

I keep bringing them up because Sean Payton's totally

31:21

in charge and they don't have

31:24

a second round pick. Like to me, that's a

31:26

great move for Denver. If you're going to do

31:28

it, go to 22, whatever, make a huge deal

31:30

with the bills, if a receiver falls, whatever. Get

31:32

second round picks, get future picks. You're not

31:34

winning anything this year, no matter who your

31:37

quarterback is that are possible. So get a

31:39

lot of stuff, but I've also heard some

31:41

people say Sean Payton might just adore JJ

31:44

McCarthy and he's going to trade certain

31:47

and 12 and go get him, you

31:49

know. And that's the other

31:51

thing. So if, if the Vikings aren't able to

31:53

go up into the top three, I

31:56

think things get really interesting because you know,

31:58

the, once you start talking. talking about pick

32:00

five and six and seven and eight. And if

32:02

those are the spots that teams are trading up

32:05

for, for a quarterback, that opens it wide up

32:07

for the Raiders or the Denver Broncos to get

32:09

in there too. Without

32:11

question. They can give you other stuff,

32:13

future picks, you know, a

32:16

couple of more notes of just

32:18

some, some trends I'm seeing. Uh,

32:21

one is Tyler Guyton might go higher for

32:23

sure than I have. Yeah.

32:25

He's going top 25 and almost every mock

32:27

draft from the insiders I'm seeing this morning,

32:30

so that's one to look out for. Um,

32:32

I think that's a cause of just all the tackles are going to

32:34

go high. And he's kind of the

32:36

next one up. So yeah, him and Mims are

32:38

right outside the next five. I'm like, there's six

32:40

and seven, I think. So everyone they're all getting

32:42

pushed up. Yeah. Lyle too, Lottie speaking of neck

32:44

injuries, you know, I don't know what the imaging

32:46

showed with him and that's going to be huge.

32:48

He could be the first defensive player off the

32:50

board. He could fall out of the first round

32:52

if his neck is not checking out for teams.

32:55

And who knows maybe different teams view him differently

32:57

with that, but that's, uh, that's one that's just

32:59

an X factor. And we don't know what those

33:01

medical reports look like on, uh, Lyle too. Lot

33:03

too, who had to quit football for awhile, but

33:05

it's come back from it. And apparently other players

33:07

have come back from the same, you know, neck surgery

33:09

that he's had. So I don't know

33:11

much on that, but I don't know if you noticed in the

33:13

McGinn thing about that, there was a couple of quotes about him

33:16

that law two has changed how he plays.

33:18

He keeps his head out of

33:20

the action a lot more since the next

33:22

surgeries, I guess. And as a

33:25

result, he hip drop tackles a lot

33:27

because he doesn't like drive through his opponent and

33:29

like, I mean, that's minor

33:31

things, but I found it

33:33

interesting that that was in there. You know, Ted,

33:37

by the way, hates the guy into the Steelers idea

33:39

might have to start getting used to it

33:41

if we're believing the insiders, I've seen him,

33:44

him and Barton of the two of 20,

33:46

I seen over and over lately, you know,

33:48

uh, one more potential slider and apparently there's

33:50

a medical recheck going on with Troy Foutano

33:52

out of Washington, which could be something that

33:54

makes him slide. And I'm seeing him more

33:56

in the twenties than in the teens than

33:58

I did a few. days ago.

34:00

So another one for potential slider, which

34:03

is interesting. And he's kind of

34:05

a guy that could fit for every team. But

34:07

he's also got a body type that maybe doesn't

34:09

fit for every team. So he's like, he's versatile,

34:11

but might only fit for a few teams. Because

34:14

some, like, for example, a team might say,

34:16

well, I want to six, seven tackle, not a six, three

34:19

and a half tackle, right? So maybe that's

34:21

why Guyton would potentially go over someone like

34:23

Foutano. And I think everyone thinks Foutano is

34:25

a better football player. But how do

34:28

you put him is the question. His tape might be

34:30

better than all. So I mean, I think it's as good as

34:32

any offense. I mean, this class. There

34:36

we go. That's what we're hearing. Yeah.

34:38

Thanks, everybody. For much different show tomorrow to

34:40

talk about. Oh, yeah, much different. Everything that

34:42

happens in the first round will be very

34:44

difficult to cover in one podcast, but we

34:47

will attempt to do so on

34:50

Friday's edition of

34:52

peacock and Williamson. Thanks everybody for being subscribed

34:54

up on YouTube and everywhere you get your

34:56

podcast, Matt and I back tomorrow. Be kind

34:58

to Williamson.
