Taylor Armosino and Jake Kring-Schreifels go full-on indie this week and discuss two small summer movies that have received much acclaim without many headlines. First they discuss "The Gift," the psychological thriller and directorial debut of Joel Edgerton, an actor who has made the shift behind the camera look easy. They also chat about acclaimed indie filmmaker Alex Ross Perry's fourth feature, "Queen Of Earth," which stars Elizabeth Moss and Katherine Waterston, and is his best film to date. In between, the two make (un)convincing claims about whether to see "Ricki and the Flash" or "Man from U.N.C.L.E."
