7+ Ways to Dissect & Interpret your Dreams! Yes, the ones you get when you're asleep that sometimes leave you wondering... "Why?" Or "What the heck does that mean?" Or "Why did I dream that?" Or even the ones you are glad about but still wonder if they hold a more significant message that you can't quite put your finger on.

I go through each of the 7+ interpretation methods by sharing one of my own really significant dreams!

Friendly Warning: I go off on some tangents, but I bring it back to the dream each time! (And the interpretation method I am addressing 😉). If you've listened to my previous episode, you know that tangents are a part of my "speaking style," & I find a way to tie it all in (most of the time 😄).

I have gotten Mark Thurston's permission to share this by the way! If you are interested in diving deeper in personal transformation work, then check out Personal Transformation and Courage Institute (a non profit begun by Mark Thurston's wife, Mary Elizabeth, and him) that provides in depth experiential learning workshops on some of the topics I discuss here plus so much more! (that I may discuss in future episodes!)

For your convenience to return to while interpreting your own dreams, here are the 7+ Methods I share & give personal interpretation examples of (with timestamps!)-

1) 11:18- What is the theme of my dream?  a) write a single sentence plot summary that doesn't interpret the dream but  restates the key action or process;  b) find an aspect of waking life that fits the theme;  c) interpret symbols in context/relationship to that aspect of waking life.

2) 25:17- How might this dream be compensatory?  Identify an extreme in the dream. Look for an opposite extreme in waking life.  How might this dream be a call to balance?

3) 26:52- Is intuition operative in this dream? Could this be an experience of mind-to-mind communication,  or a dream that foreshadows something for the future?

4) 28:34- What kind of fear (conscious or unconscious) might have produced this dream?

5) 32:14- What kind of desire (conscious or unconscious) might have produced this dream?

6) 33:49- Could this dream be a physical diagnosis of a bodily condition?

7) 45:12- If this dream had been a waking life experience, how would I have been changed by it?   What did I learn from going through the experience?

50:15 and onwards consecutively:

8) Make art around the dream

9) Write a poem around the dream (A Haiku is a good way to summarize and get the most significant parts down)

10) Jot 3 words that 1st come to mind when thinking of the dream.

Thanks for listening & I am beyond happy to begin the Dream Series of episodes with you all! I find Dreams very fascinating & have found Dream Interpretation very useful! I hope you will too!

Stay tuned for Part 2 with my guest friend, Sarah Isaacman (who I recordedthe Lunar Cyles &Intentionality episode with) as well as more Dream episodes!
