The 4th Estate is a name given to the "press/news media/journalist" that primarily covers the Government & Political Officials. Journalists that investigate and report on Government & Political Officials preform an important role in our society! They help "link" the citizens & the government together and they help keep the government "in check"... or at least, that is what they should be doing!Kris believes, however, that we are witnessing the "Death of the 4th Estate!" For some time, bias has been creeping into journalism... and more & more, "journalists" act as "commentators, with opinions" instead of "journalist"... which, doesn't have to be a bad thing, as long as everyone is honest about it & the citizens can balance out their intake.However, the greatest problem is, the fact that so many Public Officials have decided they are just simply not going to take criticism from... anyone, anymore!
