We speak with Replay Operator Derek Loucks.

Loucks, is based out of Central Florida and is in his 7th year working inmedia. He is the winner of the 2015 College Television Award Emmy forBest Documentary for his role in Filthy Dreamers.

Filthy Dreamers is about Florida law makers and religious activist in 1928 who sought to banclasses and books on evolution at the school that later became FloridaState University.

Derek for the last few years has been a freelance replay operator forlive sporting events. We’ll chat abouthis career highlights, we’ll also discuss how the Covid-19 pandemic haseffected the freelance/contract sports production world.
