Tim Draper is a venture capitalist, and one of the founders of Draper Associates and DFJ. Tim’s original suggestion to use viral marketing as a method for marketing was instrumental to the successes of Hotmail, Skype, Tesla and other companies.

Tim is widely known as a prolific venture capitalist, with a more recent focus on several blockchain and bitcoin-related companies. He was listed: #46 of the most outstanding Harvard alumni, #7 on the Forbes Midas List, #1 of the Most Networked Venture Capitalists by Always On, #98 in Worth Magazine’s 100 Most Powerful People in Finance. He also was granted, the World Entrepreneurship Forum’s “Entrepreneur for the World” in 2015.

Legend even has it that Tim won 33,000 bitcoins at an auction of some of the Silk Road proceeds.

Currently he is leading an initiative to re-draw California into 6 pieces (called: Six Californias) to inspire competition and options for choice in government. Further, he formed Draper University of Heroes, a residential and online school to aid and encourage young entrepreneurs.
