Premier League & FA Cup Review

In this week’s episode of the Podcast FC Show the guys get together (minus Al) to discuss the Premier League makeup matches as well as the most recent round of the FA Cup. The fellas start off discussing the most exciting game in the Premier League as West Ham were held to a 3-3 draw against Tum’s Arsenal which saw West Ham United give up a 3-0 lead as well as scoring two own goals. The guys than move on and discuss Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur get a 2-0 victory against a Jack Grealish-less Aston Villa side which saw Harry Kane get to a combined total 30 goal contributions in the 20/21 league seasons s well as move joint top of the golden boot race with Mo Salah. The lads quick touch Brighton beating Newcastle 3-0 and ask the question of whether or not Steve Bruce will have a job by the end of the season, as well as Leeds United winning 2-1 and ponder how good Jack Harrison is. The cast then transition into the FA cup matches which saw Leicester City end Manchester United’s 14 month unbeaten run in the quarterfinal with a 3-1 win and ask the question what the transfer priorities are and if they lie in attack or the defense. The next match that’s discussed is Manchester City beating Everton 2-1 as the guys shower praise towards on form midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. The FA cup matches also saw Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea side win 2-0 against the Premier League’s lowest placed side Sheffield United, and Southampton beat the last second division side left in the tournament Bournemouth 3-0 including an inspired performance from Nathan Redmond. The guys close off with some world news including Cristiano Ronaldo apparently staying put at Juventus as well as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both breaking records once again and firmly establishing their legendary status once again.
