History is a set of lies agreed upon. ~ Napoleon Bonaparte

Introducing Patterns of Progress, a podcast by Powerful Podcasts where we analyze the lessons taught to us by our history and apply those derived concepts to contemporary society.

Those who do not learn from their history are condemned to repeat it is an oft said line in media. While not outright false, its cousin phrase coined by Mark Twain: History does not repeat itself, but often rhymes, provides a much clearer image of our past as both nations and peoples.

What are we but an evolution upon the traditions and ideals of our forefathers, for better and for worse?

In this series, we will go in-depth into the struggles and triumphs of those who came before us; Unearthing the intimate stories of people whose histories deserve to be remembered and whose perspectives, no matter how ancient they may be, provide thoughtful insight into the world today.

Join us on this journey ventured through time. From the first farmworkers of ancient Mesopotamia, to 13th-century European aristocracy, to the modern working American middle-class, learn how these radically different groups of people influence the structures of societies around the globe and the intents woven into their designs.
