Martin: Welcome to Presentation Skills Q and A. I am Martin Lindesco.
0:14
Hi Karina. Carina: Hi Martin.
0:17
How are you today? Martin: I'm doing fine.
0:20
Yourself? Carina: Yes, I'm doing fine.
0:24
It's April and it's April weather.
0:26
Martin: Yes, with snow. So as you say in New England, if you don't
0:30
like the weather, wait a minute.
0:34
So hopefully we will spring forward. So when we record this, it's also holiday season, you could say.
0:40
Yes, but we wanted to record anyway to have our schedule.
0:47
So this could be one thing that you could use technology for.
0:51
Do something during the holidays and still keep going.
0:55
Carina: Exactly. And I like that. I really like that.
0:58
The technique should be ours.
1:02
We shall make the technique to be the best
1:06
hour of ourselves and use it the best way, I think.
1:10
Martin: Yeah, you had a thing that we will include in show notes, but we hope we find
1:15
some internationals, but they could translate and see how that works with the tools.
1:21
But there was an article about you could say homework and studies and how you could use
1:28
this technology to have an extra teacher or a tutor or something like that, like help for
1:36
things. So I see it like that.
1:39
And then we see other things also that we are already using it.
1:42
And you have done some research on that and been thinking and pondering about that.
1:47
Carina: Yes, our last episodes we have talked about AI and you and I have talked about how
1:54
much or yes, how much we really use it.
1:58
We are a bit scared. Many people are a little bit scared of AI, but we already use it.
2:05
You use it when you search on Google, for example, when you've been on social media like
2:13
Instagram and Facebook and LinkedIn and so on.
2:17
And also when you choose a movie at, for
2:21
example, Netflix and such things.
2:24
Martin: Yeah, that's the algorithm. And in a way now something for future.
2:28
But I had an interesting talk yesterday with Sam SETI of Pod fans.
2:34
So we'll talk more about also the process and the production, you could say, and also the
2:39
work with the podcast and see what we could do with that.
2:43
And that Pod fans that will be very interesting for our listeners, for ourselves
2:48
and for our fellow podcasters out there.
2:50
And there they're using this positive
2:53
algorithm. Also how you could find new podcast clips and
2:59
other things like that. Carina: There are very many positive things about AI.
3:06
It's about self driving cars and you can compare, for example, radiographs and things.
3:14
Martin: And also here with our podcast.
3:16
Now you could say Note to self.
3:20
But also for your information, we are using this transcript service that we are using with
3:25
my editing and post production tool, Olitu.
3:29
It's still working and they will develop it.
3:32
So it's interesting to see how that could be helped.
3:35
So we are interesting to get feedback on that.
3:37
But it's also in process and in progress.
3:41
And lately it has been a bit between the tool and the host also.
3:46
But things could happen and they could change.
3:49
But please look at the show notes and the
3:52
transcript and see what you're thinking about that.
3:55
Carina: Yes, and the listeners, they could learn many things from our show notes because
4:03
they listen and then they can take the articles and read them.
4:09
So you get new influences when you listen to podcasts and look at their show notes.
4:15
Martin: Yeah and also impressions like what you have done nicely with images and chapters
4:20
like visual things. So it's interesting how we could develop this.
4:25
And I'm for technology, I'm a technocrat in a way, but I'm also critical if it's falling in
4:32
the wrong hands, so to speak. But I was at, you could say a guinea pig or
4:37
test person for a course in this field by MN and I will include her profile in the LinkedIn
4:46
and there it was an interesting thing and that was like a big pizza chain.
4:52
And if it was Domino's or if it was Pizza Hut or something like that.
4:57
The biggest assets now was the data collection about the orders and what people wanted to
5:03
have the toppings on the pizza. And that was so fascinating to learn.
5:07
That restaurant chain franchise thing had so much data that they could use for other things
5:13
and also make good pizza hopefully.
5:15
Carina: Yeah, that's interesting, really interesting.
5:17
There are so many things to talk about when it becomes to this AI field and we have a podcast
5:27
which is short and sweet, should I say.
5:30
So we have to continue this process because
5:34
you and I, we are often talking about that the human being should take the technique and use
5:40
it the best way and not the opposite way.
5:43
Martin: Yeah so I will probably take a bit of time here during the holidays and play around
5:48
with it and maybe get some guidance from you also and we could see what the result will be
5:54
to do some fun things. We'd ask the chat thing there and other
5:59
services and see what's coming out. Carina: Regarding podcasting and the interesting thing about AI and this topic we
6:07
are talking about that it's, it's not new now when we are talking about it, it feels like
6:12
it's new but it isn't. So I think we shall continue this and I would
6:19
like to hear some questions from our listeners if they want to discuss something or ask
6:26
something. Martin: Yeah, they could send a question to the robot and see what comes up.
6:34
Exactly or contact us.
6:37
Carina: Really thanks but nice to talking to you today.
6:42
Martin: Likewise. Carina: Yeah and I am going for a little bit of holiday now.
6:47
Martin: Yeah, same here. So cheerio and talk to you soon again.
6:51
Cheerio.
