Proclamation! For the Seventh Sunday of Easter, Ascension Sunday, 12 May, 2024

Reverend Shelley McVea describes how forty days are the ideal number of days for creating change in our lives.  Perhaps we choose to cease doing something negative, or we choose to improve a skill, perhaps practicing piano a few minutes every day.  Today we celebrate Ascension Sunday and mark the transformation of the apostles over the forty days that have passed since the crucifixion of Christ.  In that time they mourned, but they also were able to deepen their faith and adopt a practice of joyfulness.
