Rob Bence:         Welcome to Property News Radio! I’m Rob Bence from RPM Property and The Property Hub. It’s a budget special this week, but it’s also a different format.

Before I start rambling on, let me tell you what’s coming up.

First of all, I’m going to talk you through our new format. I’ve got a special guest with me today. Then we’re going to look at the budget and some of the things that have happened there. Initially, people thought it was quite a safe, boring budget but there’s a lot to talk about. We’re also going to have a look at the help-to-buy scheme, what happened so far. Then we’re going to look at surveyors and a surprising trend taking place. Finally, we finish with the darling of property, Sarah Beeny. She provides our quirky news piece this week.

Before we get going, I need to talk about our new format for Property News Radio. If you’re a regular listener to The Property Podcast, you know I’ve increased the size of the team here at RMP Property and I wanted to try something a little bit different because I enjoy taking with other people and in Property News Radio I feel a bit lonely. I’ve asked Andrew Ridley, one of my star team performers who joined RMP Property to join me.
