This section of Proverbs has a narrative flow. The father teaches his son the way of Wisdom. Main themes include avoiding violence and adultery. Instead, the son is to fall rapturously in love with Wisdom which is more precious than anything else and will guard Him through his life. Attention is paid to the way New Testament writers develop these themes.
