The General Assembly came back to Columbia this week to deal with the budget, and coronavirus response continues, including boat ramp closures in South Carolina.

Alan Hancock of the Coastal Conservation League, Rebecca Haynes of Conservation Voters of South Carolina, and Bill Stangler, the Congaree Riverkeeper, break down the week in conservation in South Carolina.

The name of our podcast comes from Article 12 of the South Carolina Constitution, which is all about the functions of government: “The health, welfare, and safety of the lives and property of the people of this State...and the conservation of its natural resources are matters of public concern.”
