Fourier is also generally credited with the discovery of the greenhouse effect."Word of the Day- A Moon Dog is a phenomenon of a bright spot seen on a lunar halo, roughly 10 moons in diameter, as seen from observers on earth. They look like little swatches of light around the halo, which are caused by small ice particulates in our atmosphere at cirrus cloud height.
