Genie Nakano is a third generation Japanese-American Poet born in Los Angeles and a multitalented Artist. Author of several Poetry collection, Genie Nakano is a member of the Southern Californian Haiku Society and a savvy tanka writer. She shares a fascinating history of Tanka, the mother of haiku, with us
