In this episode we're talking about the impact of family-of-origin programming and experiences on our partnerships.

We'll be talking about differentiation (what's that?), keeping or leaving family-of-origin behaviors, survival brain (and why we sometimes do what we don't want to do), and ways to address all of these things in our partnerships with our significant others.

We're also going to touch on the reality that a lot of queer couples face: when one or both partners are shunned by their families of origin for being gay. This is our experience with the majority of Steph's family and has a huge affect on our relationships whether we ever acknowledge it or not!

Altogether, this episode is a diving into the subject of how our families of origin affect the new families we're creating in partnership together and how we can build trust and further that thriving relationship we all want.
