If it wasn't for sex, none of us would be here. Why does so much of society stigmatise people who do sex for a living? We catch up with Tilly Lawless; a Queer writer, sex worker & activist from Sydney who gives us some insight into her life as a Queer sex worker, the "Whorearchy" and what we as a community can do to support sex workers. We'll leave you with Tilly's words from a piece she wrote for Oyster Mag;"So when people question why I do it — what I fuck coked-up men at three in the morning for — and how I can be happy doing it; how I can not come to value myself less when I charge, I think of the fact there is a large wedge between me and struggle. That unlike a lot of queer women I am financially stable — endlessly grateful to be so aware of how lucky I am; I know that my whiteness and class have given me a massive head start. And no, someone else's idea of 'self respect' will never be of greater value to me than paying rent." www.oystermag.com/oyster-diaries-tilly-lawless-on-her-life-as-a-sex-worker

PS. We bid farewell to Cyrus as he embarks on travel for a few months and welcome Ruth excitedly as a new Queeriosity host. Until next time xo
