This week, we sit down with 4th year medical student and American Medical Association Trustee, Dr. Sam Mackenzie, as he shares his thoughts on a recent, highly anticipated report submitted by the Institute of Medicine on their vision for the future of residency training in America. With predictions of a worsening physician shortage echoing across the country, millions using more health care services because of Obamacare implementation and an aging population, and a tightening bottleneck at the residency level of physician training, this report's recommendations have been as controversial as they were highly anticipated.
