Radwell International is an industrial automation company servicing manufacturing operations globally. The company stocks and sells new and surplus industrial automation, MRO, pneumatic, motion, electronic, hydraulic, HVAC and electrical control equipment for plant floor and facilities maintenance machinery. Radwell also has full component level repair capabilities for all industrial electronic and electrical equipment, with over 2,400 testing fixtures. Our global headquarters is located in Willingboro, NJ and we have branches in Indiana, Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Georgia, the UK, Germany and Canada. Volunteerism is a big part of the Radwell corporate culture.

In this episode of Automation Nation, guest Andy Enochs joins us to discuss the volunteer experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Andy is a Repair Technician at Radwell in Franklin, IN and a proud BBBS volunteer. The Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. The Big Brothers Big Sisters vision is that all youth achieve their full potential.

BBBSCI serves more than 1,200 boys and girls annually, ages 8 to 18 in Marion, Hamilton, and Johnson Counties. They pair adult volunteers (what they refer to as “Bigs”) in one-to-one mentoring relationships with children (what they call “Littles”) ages 8 to 14 in Central Indiana.

The program produces significant outcomes in areas related to educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, and socio-emotional health. After just one year, Littles have higher grades, more self-confidence, and better relationships with their peers.
