We did some wine rating today at Oxbow in Napa. The wine was: Domaine Maby La Fermade Lirac.

This wine actually rated as GREAT. With some earth tones and some white pepper. The price was just right at $20!

The “Rate a Wine: The Jesse Experiment” podcast is about tracking a wine newb (Jesse, from Minnesota) while he cruises on his road of wine discovery. Shawn, based out of Napa, is playing the role of wine guide. Although Shawn is not a “wine pro”, he does know enough to be dangerous. Plus, he can probably find someone around Napa who may know a thing or two about wine to help with any rough terrain.The basic goal is to try at least one wine a week that is around $20 or less, rate the wine and give some other info like price, etc. to share with you. It will be interesting to see what Jesse’s perspective is and how his wine knowledge will grow from each podcast.In addition to the "The Jesse Experiment", we have the "Quick Sip Wine Tip" podcast that brings you some quick pieces of info regarding wine...plus these short podcasts include a wine rating.Sit back and enjoy.
