Jen is known as the Tropic Pianist Gamer and lives on Anglesey with her husband and child.

She grew up in the shadows of Greater Manchester, having a fascinating upbringing being half Chinese. A talented musician from a young age, she had many hobbies, too many, in fact. Anything creative was right up her street, including colourful and fun video games. In the background, she was always journaling, writing poetry, songs or the occasional novel. The school implied she wasn’t good enough as a writer, so she hid her content for many years. She believes that writing helped her through some of the most stressful parts of her life.

Having anxiety problems from the age of thirteen but not being diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder until the age of twenty-seven, there left a gap where mental health was brushed under the carpet, and she was seen as weak. 
After trying counselling, CBT, mindfulness and other conventional methods, it took a life-changing event to instigate change.
