I have deep affection for Shanghai, just like many others. The city captivates me with its incredible diversity, inclusivity, convenience, and rich cultural heritage. Strolling from the picturesque banks of the Huang Pu River to the splendid Jing An Si, I relish the energetic atmosphere that encompasses both towering skyscrapers and historic architectures dating back eight decades.
However, I am among those who have made the decision to leave Shanghai. My motivation stems from a desire to reclaim ownership of my time and lead a simpler life. Rather than being engulfed by consumerism, I seek solace in being surrounded by nature.
Although I have mixed emotions, I still yearn for Shanghai and cherish the memories it holds.
