Welcome to Real Estate Redefined.  I am Dan Forsman.

Yes, we only have 16 weeks left in 2019 and we need to make every day count.  This month we have 2 MEGA open house events – September 15th and 29th.  This is a perfect opportunity to create new clients from your pre-event and post-event marketing to the local community.  I want to challenge everyone – if you are a newer associate or an experience associate – to get engaged and take advantage of these opportunities.

MEGA open house events are a powerful approach to reaching the most potential buyers for our listings.  Our massive advertising campaigns with Zillow ads, social media & digital ads, WAZE ads, Nextdoor, Google and Facebook scheduled events, digital billboards and local neighborhood marketing create a lot of visibility in our local markets. Our company has already hosted 11 MEGA open house event this year.  We have averaged 420 MEGA open houses per event with over 24,000 visitors this year.  That does not include the thousands of additional client prospects contacted in our neighborhood marketing.

do not want to miss this opportunity to recognize Patriot Day, September 11th.  It has been 18 years since that tragic day and I think we all remember exactly where we were that morning in 2001. Please take a moment to remember the nearly 3000 people that were killed in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The victims came from all religions and all corners of the world. We lost fellow citizens on four passenger jets, the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

In every venue, there were amazing stories of courage and heroism. Some were lost but their memories still inspire us. I still get goose bumps from thinking about Todd Beamer citing his prayer over the cell phone and finishing with the words “Let’s roll!” while he and fellow passengers charged the cockpit. They made the ultimate sacrifice to save others.

That day, I asked each of our Managing Brokers to make sure we had American flags for all our offices.  Those flags proudly fly to this day.  We also made the decision to open all our meetings with a prayer and by saying the pledge of allegiance.

September 11th is now called Patriot Day.  Please join us in observing the national moment of silence at 8:46am, which is the time the first plane struck the North tower of the World Trade Center.

This year, I will be flying out for a meeting on Wednesday, September 11th.  That morning, at 8:46am, before my flight, I will make time for the national moment of silence.  Please join me to remember those we lost. Remember the heroes. Remember their families. And remember how we came together as a nation. We have a very precious gift – the gift of freedom. The freedom to speak our minds. The freedom to worship as we choose. And the freedom to pursue our dreams.
