Personal boundaries are the limits and rules we set for ourselves within relationships. A person with healthy boundaries can say no to others when they want to, but they are also comfortable opeing themselves up to intimacy and close relationships. Personal boundaries are the physical, emotional, and mental limits we establish to protect ourselves from being manipulated, used, or violated by others. To set boundaries mean to preserve our integrity, take responsibility for who we are, and to take control of our life.
