Last week we talked about legalism. This week we are talking about antinomianism. The word derives from two Greek words literally meaning "against" (anti) "law" (nomos). In its most technical form, antinomianism stresses grace above the law in the sense that it denies the requirement for Christians to obey the commandments of Scripture.
