For years, two tech giants have been locked in a legal battle over lines of code. When Google built the Android operating system, it used software created and copyrighted by Oracle. So, Oracle sued Google. Earlier this week, the Supreme Court sided with Google, ruling that it counts as lawful fair use. But how can computer code be fair use, and what does this mean for future programmers?
