The Master’s recipe for Effective Praying is the theme for the next few Sunday's and is a study of the petitions found in the Lord’s prayer.

Today we are discussing, Forgive Us Our Debts.

Jesus instructs us to make all our needs a matter of prayer.

The needs of our body are to be a matter of prayer, which is why we pray, “Give is this day our daily bread.”

But we are also to pray about the needs of our mind.

A part of the human soul is the conscience. 

God placed within us a little voice that protests when we violate our sense of right and wrong.

What do you do when you feel guilty?

You should pray.

You should not carry guilt through even one day.

You should pray, “Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.”

The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer for disciples.

Some mistakingly teach that once you become a Christian, you never need to confess or seek forgiveness again.

But Jesus taught His disciples to pray this prayer daily.
