In this very first episode of the Registered Dietitian Approved podcast, Austin & Marissa introduce themselves and tell their stories on their journey to becoming a RD. They talk about how in school they were both pushed to go into one direction as a dietitian, which was clinical. So after a few years of working in clinical Austin & Marissa found out that what they were told in school wasn't necessarily true. There are so many more opportunities that exist where you can be successful as a RD which does NOT include clinical or any other traditional RD route.  Through this podcast they wish to bring more awareness to RDs and RD 2 BEs on all the non-traditional opportunities that were not taught in school.
