The Intelligent City project has been developed as a way to help manage congestion in Birmingham. It demonstrates how the exploitation of technology can be a cost effective and innovative route to increase the usage of public transport during the morning peak and subsequently reduce levels of congestion.Coventry University has developed this project with Birmingham City Council, Centro, Microsoft and Shoothill.
