Journalism has undergone a major shift in the last couple of decades, with a shrinking number of full-time journalists and a diversifying digital media landscape. Lawrie Zion is Professor of Journalism and Director of the Transforming Human Society Research Focus Area at La Trobe University. He leads the ARC-funded New Beats project which is examining journalism job loss in the era of digital disruption.
