Carole Penny Marshall (1943 - 2018) was a lead actress on one of the most popular shows in television history and would eventually find herself behind the camera. At first Penny did not feel comfortable behind the camera but she would find her voice as she would become the second female to earn a Best Picture nomination and the first female director to have a movie gross over $100 million.
