Clare and Craig very much wanted to release this episode a day early to coincide with #WorldMentalHealthDay. They share their reasonings for choosing the theme, "Person-Centred Care" and their new experiences since we last heard from them. Together, they then interview Professor Brendan McCormack from Queen Margaret University, one of the co-creators of the person-centred nursing framework to hear his views on person-centred care. They are then joined by their close friend newly registered mental health nurse Dawn Marr, who speaks honestly about changing roles in her first year, and the impact this had on her both personally and professionally. Following this, Clare and Craig reflect on these conversations and how they can move forward to improve their practice and hopefully inspire others. Our lasting memo though is person-centred care is just as much about you as it is about those you care for. Please take care of you always.
