Whilst the transformation of the McDonald's french fry itself is an inherently interesting story (particularly in the manner it came about), this feels like a thoroughly unexplored topic as far the implications go. Malcolm doesn't take into account health or moral implications of using Beef Tallow over Vegetable Oil in the creation of fries. In his painfully simple summary he notes that McDonald's should have fought back against the objections to using beef tallow; when a company generates roughly $75 million revenue a day, health plays more of a factor than "room for pleasure". This episode seems to undercut the important issues Malcolm raises in other episodes, especially when it is left so obviously unexplored.
