Today we’re exploring something that simply didn’t exist when we were younger.  At least not in the volume and format we face now.  I could say the subject is social media.  I could even say it’s about the change in mainstream media.  But in reality it’s about drinking from a fire hose.  It’s not just what we’re consuming, or from where … but what it does to us.  And how we might be able to moderate the onslaught.

​I started a YouTube channel offering advice to people of a certain age.  Answering questions that I myself had.  And one day I realized that I was just being an anonymous junior college professor, standing at a chalkboard and not embracing my own lessons.  Well, that changed that very moment.  Now I'm living the life that I talk about and I'm bringing you along, both on YouTube and here on the podcast.  Partly for entertainment, partly as inspiration, but always as a friend.
