Dragon Boat Festival is here! Every year on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, many Asian countries celebrate a holiday that stemmed from Ancient China and the legend of Qu Yuan. While this holiday is famous for dragon boat races, which are held around the world, there is a lot of other traditions associated with this unique holiday.
Winnie and I discuss some of the history and culture behind this holiday. We talk about the mythology and legend of Qu Yuan, famous food like sticky rice dumplings, and the reason why people try to balance eggs. On top of that, we also talk about our personal experience celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, and what we like about it.
