Really enjoying it. Never listened to a Pathfinder podcast before but it's got me interested. The players and DM have a really friendly and approachable energy that makes the episodes seem to not last all that long
Top tier banter filled podcast playing through one of the best pathfinder adventures cast are fun
Found the name for this show in a small thread on reddit... thisnis the first actual play podcast i liked from episode one. The guys right away are relatable and thier characters merry well in all facets of the show. Bringing in Joe was a paramount addition. I appreciate that Trevor sees Raw vs Rai when it comes to rules like with the whip usage for tripping. All in all its a home game and the guys really make it feel like that, not fabricated or manufactured. Half a year of episodes and they have not disappointed
Roll for Intent is a well put together actual play, featuring Pathfinder Second Edition. As someone who has not gotten into PF2E, but is familiar with First Edition and other TTRPGs, I have not had an issue following along or felt like the rules are taking me out of the story too much. The show has a format where they spend the first 10 or so minutes of an episode just bantering, if that is something you are not a fan of, I recommend skipping over it but still listening to the main part of the episode. The roleplay is on point and I love the voices and characterization all of the players give. The show is well edited with a great level of ambience and background music that really enhances the experience. The GM is doing a great job at describing things to help get your mind visually into the setting the players are in.I can tell a lot of work is going into the show behind the scenes, not just because of the editing work, but the show is ran using a virtual tabletop with the players all only seeing what there characters see and maps linked together for ease fo movement. If you are looking for a fantasy actual play, especially one that uses Pathfinder Second Edition like I was, then make sure to add this one to your list!
Look, I'm not an actual play kind of guy, I prefer to play myself then listen to other's play. Roll for Intent kind of changed that for me. All of the members are really charismatic and the entire podcast feels like good friends having fun and the nature of the podcast itself makes you feel like a part of that. The characters are really freaking good having a good mix of different personalities on the party and the GM, Trevor, does a great job at narrating the world around them and giving a lot of NPC's a memorable personality. Another thing this podcast has going for it is it's humor. This is one of, If not the, funniest show I'm aware of existing. It's really dumb humor sometimes too, but because of the vibe of the podcast of friends having fun playing a really cool game, you feel like you're at that table top, laughing with them. This podcast made me laugh out loud in the middle of a bus because I couldn't contain the laughter. All and all, it's a pretty good show and they deserves way more recognicion for their good job. Five out of tive!
Great podcast, very enjoyable cast.
I found this podcast on their release weekend. They cast is great and has awesome chemistry. I had been looking for a new show and I'm very picky. These guys are great and the story they've added to an adventure that for the most part doesn't really have one has been nothing short of fantastic. I still listen to the GCN, but Roll for Intent is my new favorite!
Awesome Pod! Audio quality is excellent.Group dynamic is relaxed and roleplay heavy.Rules knowledge is solid, especially after a later episode with the addition of a Fantastic dedicated rules lawyer. They partner with Beast Foundry and use it's monsters to spice up the AP. The owner of Beast Foundry is also their Rule Lawyer so the monsters are used and showcased excellently. This is a great pod with some interesting twists on one of the best 2e APs Paizo has written. It's a must listen for sure!
This group takes Abomination Vaults and makes it their own, and I'm impressed how well they flesh out what, on the face of it, is a pretty standard dungeon crawl. It's nice to hear them figure out the system in real time, having switched over from 1e just to make this podcast.Dilly Danvers, the emotional center of this Podcast, will hopefully one day join his rightful place in the pantheon of great literary characters.
Absolutely phenomenal podcast! The group has great chemistry, and they manage to balance humor and earnest roleplay very well. I'm laughing at every episode and left invested in the story: both the overarching plot and each character's personal ones. They're running abomination vaults, but have taken great care to write each character into the setting, with custom and fresh monsters, NPCs and scenarios added in all over the place. They do a great job of setting good ambiance too: it's a ton of work to pick out perfect audio pieces for each situation, but they manage. Everyone's mic is crystal clear, and the volume is balanced nicely as well. Overall, the material, the cast, and the presentation are all top of the line. They definitely deserve a try!
Ive caught up to the current episode by listening to these guys for a week straight so i think its a really good P2e cast besides actually talking about rules and things that might not be obvious from the outside the podcast feels like a classic friday night with the boys , shenanigans and joke included. the pregame-banter section works good even for me as an european who has not much idea about american stores and such it still works well and the general intros were jarring at first but after like 5-10 episode they really grew on me.
Awesome podcast. Very funny group of people and great story.
