Nicole’s reading passions started early on in her childhood and by age 10 was reading Agatha Christie and Victoria Holt - and she still love mysteries - but when she discovered her mother’s box of novels penned by the likes of Jackie Collins, Johanna Lindsey, Jude Deveraux , Nicole was a goner for the romance genre. She even ventured down the erotica reading rabbit hole with Shayla Black, Lacy Alexander, and Delilah Devlin. But in 2020, discovered military protector romance. And she fell HARD - All of which, no doubt, is why she is currently working on her debut romance release. Nicole will be coming back on the podcast in January to talk more about that. 

In this episode Nicole and I talk about one of her favorite authors, Kennedy Mitchell, and the fourth book in Kennedy’s Protection Series - Mine to Keep - with mystery, suspense, emotional wounds - and it’s not the swoon-worthy hero who needs most of the healing.

I got to chat with debut author Kate Goldbeck about her novel You, Again  - an inverted, subverted twist on the cult classic movie - When Harry Met Sally - which released on September 12th of this year.

In addition to talking about this quirky rom-com, we learn more about how Kate was discovered by her agent and landed her very first book deal with Penguins Random House.
