On Friday evening, former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul delivered the keynote address to the 5th Annual Young Americans For Liberty National Conference. Over 300 enthusiastic students eagerly anticipated his arrival on the campus of George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. The energy in the room proved that there is still a bit of juice left in the old liberty movement- if it can be harnessed by the next generation of leaders. Dr. Paul told students of their obligation to advance the cause of liberty andpersonal freedoms by using current technology such as the Internet to spread ideas. He also commented on current issues including the actions of whistleblowers Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning, and the closing ofU.S. embassies and consulates due to terrorist threats.
