by SABC News Reporters Tracy Valaydham and Bongani Gema - The family of a former KwaZulu-Natal rugby player who was shot and killed in a peculiar confrontation with police in Honolulu in the US state of Hawaii is demanding justice. Twenty nine-year-old Lindani Myeni was fatally shot by police. Footage that Hawaii police have released shows that Myeni was engaged in a scuffle before shots are fired. In an SABC News Exclusive, Myeni's grandmother, Ntombi Xaba, says Myeni did odd-jobs as a handyman, in America. She he left South Africa in 2018 after marrying his wife Lindsay in 2011. Lindsay was on missionary work in South Africa when the two met. At the time, Myeni was a budding rugby player with the Sharks Academy.
