The Economic Freedom Fighters has unsuccessfully tried to table a motion in parliament against the SABC's elections period policy regarding call-in radio programmes. The motion was blocked by the ANC. SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago earlier rejected claims that call-in shows had been banned - saying that only journalists would be allowed to host call-ins that dealt with elections related topics during the run-up to the poll.
