We are still here! 😁 We are still in quarantine, but that won't stop us from celebrating Pride (with new faces)! We invited Kata Garcia (@hereweliveph) to talk about her book for kids/babies; which introduces inclusivity by showing different types of family structures. We are also introducing a new friend, Jam, and answering some questions as allies or as part of the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ community. During this tough time, let's all spread love, respect, and happiness. 💜💜💜
Points to ponder before or upon watching this video/ listening to this episode:
1. Please remember to be respectful with your comments. We are open for discussions, not attacks.
2. For people saying we don't have the right to be talking about the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ because we are straight, first of all, we never explicitly stated our sexual orientation in this episode so please don't assume anything because of how we sound or look. Fun fact: the hosts would like to inform you that half of the people in this video are not straight/at least questioning. Hulaan niyo na lang kung sino.💜💜💜
3. We put a disclaimer because we do not want to pretend we are experts about this topic and we say something erroneous. Rest assured, we did our research, we didn't come here talking about it without reading about it. If our knowledge is lacking we're sorry but we don't think it warrants any attack. There's a lot more discussion to be made about this and our goal for this wasn't to be educational, that's why we don't claim to be experts on this, but more comforting for those confused and questioning individuals (because some of us have experienced this or are still experiencing this as well) . We hope this episode serves as a gateway to the topic for those who aren't yet well-versed on this. We also hope that this episode could open up doors to talking about topics that aren't usually the easiest to talk about in our everyday lives. For not emphasizing the fact that the pride parade is a protest, we are sorry. We would like to clarify that it started and continues to be a protest.
4. For those saying we are just joining the bandwagon, we would like to clarify that we are not monetizing these videos, we did this not for our personal gain. This episode was prompted from a relative of ours feeling pressured and asking if they needed to come out. Ultimately, we did this to provide comfort for those feeling pressured and confused of their orientations or sexualities. There's a lot more to learn about this and we are all still learning together.
5. Let's all keep respect, kindness, and understanding.
6. Please refer to number 1. Any hateful comments or comments instigating divisiveness will be removed. Any potential troll user accounts will be banned from this channel.
