Today I sat down with the iconic Ellie Hancock although you may know her as Dyaknowwhatimean as per her IG handle!
We get into SUCH a varied conversation! From all things Jubilee (yes this episode was filmed a while ago, do not judge me okay!) to night-out culture (the source of her earlier writing inspiration) to her work and research in the sex toy and sex tech industry (that's right, todays episode is for those 18+) We talk about gentrification in Liverpool, the cost of living, homelessness, the rise of insta-poetry and also get into what it means to be Scouse (Neither of us are from this city, but we're both alike in sharing a love for it!)
This one is for you if you're sick to death of luxury apartments being put up in the centre of town & driving people out & if you too grew up in the 90's / 00's and have both fond and horrific memories of the rampant drinking culture that took place!
Ellie tells it like it is and I pride both her and her work on being genuine, straight to the point and always in celebration of Liverpool! If you have a good sense of humour, if you hate tories and if you're even just a little curious as to what goes on inside the mind of a sex tech and sex work researcher, then you're going to love today's episode!
Thanks to all our listeners for always being so sound. As always, let us know what you think - your comments and feedback are hugely important especially to small start-up projects like this!! (I am just one girl, running this in my pyjamas)
As always, huge thanks to our studio and editing team at Liverpool Podcast Studios!
