In our inaugural Sarcastic Sundays podcast, we make a good attempt at explaining what our podcast is, what categories we fall under and what topics we will end up discussing. And we quickly figure out that just about no topic is out of bounds for us. Ultimately we end up talking about a topic that is near and dear to our nerdy hearts: how show runners and creators have truly honed in the skill of disappointing their fanbases in 2019. More specifically, how the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and how season 8 of Game of Thrones has fans up in arms about the last minute decisions that they made and the reasoning - if any - as to why those choices were made. On the movie front, we dive deep into if the choices made during Avengers: Endgame for some of our favorite heroes were correct, if they were even well earned, or if any residual disappointed is just misplaced. While on the small screen, we debate whether GOT's season 8 two episode turn over for one of its main protagonists from ruler in the making to cliched villainess was truly necessary - if at all.
